Nearly 300 journalists representing different media are expected to attend the World Congress of the International Federation of Journalists and Writers in Tourism (FIJET) scheduled from November 29 to December 3 in Marrakech.
The program of this congress includes two major excursions, one to the imperial cities and the other to the Great South, in addition to a forum under the theme « Tourism and Culture - What relation(s)? - Which future(s)? »
The president of the national observatory of tourism in Morocco, Said Mouhib, said that this event is a good opportunity for the presentation of the efforts made by the Kingdom in the field of tourism, while allowing participants to know closely the tourist infrastructure available in Morocco.
For his part, the president of the FIJET, the Tunisian Tijani Haddad, affirmed that this initiative will have a positive impact on Morocco as a destination, in general, and the ochre city, in particular, through the media contribution of the journalists participating in the congress, which will serve to promote the potentialities of the Kingdom.
The association had already organized in 2016 the meeting in Morocco of the executive board of the FIJET, which was followed by a press trip to the cities of Casablanca, Marrakech, Chefchaouen, Meknes and Tangier, with the participation of more than 120 journalists.
