Discovering the fabulous valley of paradise

Let yourself be tempted by one of the most pleasant excursions in the heart of the Imouzzer mountain region of the Ida-Outanane. Located in the northern region a few kilometers from Agadir, the town of Imouzzer is famous for its honey and beautiful waterfalls.

This famous beekeeping tour begins in the valley of paradise, which is the most appreciated oasis which is surrounded by mountains that delights nature lovers. The village of Imouzzer, with its white houses, is home to a beautiful palm grove surrounded by almond, olive and argan trees. The road runs along small terraced fields and undulating plateaus covered with fruit trees.

In the surrounding area, enjoy a swim in the natural pools of the Asif Tamraght gorge, and discover the waterfalls of the Tinker wadi known for its waterfalls that flow in winter. Every year in May, the honey festival is held at Imouzzer des Ida-Outanane. A great opportunity to celebrate one of the flagship products of the region which is the pride of its inhabitants.

Going up north, you arrive in Argana, then, a few kilometres further, in Izourki Oufella with its incomparable honey. This region is particularly famous for its refined honey with the flavours of thyme and lavender. This honey, mixed with crushed almonds and argan oil, gives rise to an artisanal mixture known as Amlou. This delicacy, equivalent to Nutella, is traditionally offered to newlyweds.

The honey is collected in huge apiaries made of pisé, which is an uncooked earth used, among other things, to build kasbahs. Composed of more than 3000 beehives, the collective beehive of Inzerki, also called "Taddart or Guerram" is one of the oldest and largest rocks in the world. It constitutes a Berber historical heritage that has delighted the inhabitants of the region through the generations.
