The luxurious Hilton Tangier City Center Hotel & Residences has just been awarded the Green Key label by the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Protection of the Environment.

This prestigious distinction is a sign of recognition to the efforts made by the management and teams of the Hilton Tanger City Center Hotel & Residences, having a very ambitious CSR policy that ensures their active participation in various actions related to the environment, such as Earth Hour, the Global Week of Service, ... and this, with the aim of ensuring responsible tourism and achieving the global vision of the Hilton chain to strengthen its ecological footprint and double its investment in social impact by the year 2030.

The Hilton Tangier City Center Hotel & Residences' commitment to eco-responsible management has resulted in many actions to which the hotel has committed in just one year since its opening. These include: the effective reduction of water and electricity consumption by 50%, the Soap for Hope action, the use of non-harmful cleaning products, the reduction of food waste and the recycling of used cooking oil, ...

The Hilton Tangier City Center Hotel & Residences is now the only hotel recognized by this label for the period 2018-2019 in Tangier.

It should be recalled that the Green Key label is awarded each year by a jury composed of the Ministry of Tourism, the Moroccan National Tourist Office, the National Federation of the Hotel Industry, the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Sustainable Development, the National Office of Water and Electricity, the Agency for the Development of Renewable Energies and Energy Efficiency and the Directorate General of Local Authorities, supported by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Tourism Organization (WTO).
