For its 3rd edition, the Tyab Bladi culinary rendez-vous (cuisine of my country) took place in the heart of the ochre city on the Jemaa El Fna square in Marrakech on July 6th. On the menu, a culinary competition and numerous dance events represented by folklore troupes and exhibitions of local products and crafts. The event is also an opportunity to highlight the Moroccan gastronomic heritage, promote local products and highlight the tourist assets of the red city.
The jury of the competition was made up of the African pastry champion, the renowned chef Abdellilah Enniri, accompanied by several prestigious chefs. Among them, Chef Moha, Chef Mounir Rochdi finalist of Top Chef Arabia, Chef Karim Ben Baba of the Great Moroccan Table of the Royal Mansour Marrakech, Chef Issam Jaâfari, winner of Top Chef Arabia, Chef Brittit, Chef Zakia of Malak Emerald, Executive Chef Rachid Agourai of the Mamounia and Mohammed Nekkach president of the Association of Culinary Giants.
This jury of professionals had to decide between the six nominees for the competition, who are passionate about the Moroccan culinary arts and pastry. To seduce them, the candidates had to show a lot of creativity to revisit Moroccan dishes.
In this festive and competitive atmosphere, the candidate Amal Mbarksi stood out and won first prize in the Tyab Bladi competition. She left with a cheque and a certificate in hotel and restaurant management. As for the dolphins, they will benefit from internships in 5-star hotels.
